Four-Bedroom Apartment Moving with Assembly in Jeddah

A four-bedroom apartment is a large move that needs a staged plan: a room-by-room inventory, dismantling and packing by a skilled carpenter, loading into one or more enclosed trucks, then unloading and reassembly to match the new floor plan, with a written quote that states what the price includes.

Why a large apartment is different

A four-bedroom apartment usually means a master bedroom, two or three more bedrooms, a majlis, a living room, a kitchen and several service areas. That is far more items than an ad hoc plan can handle: each room needs its own dismantling, wrapping materials and loading order, and coordinating the rooms is the biggest challenge.

So we treat it as a small relocation project: inventory first, then a staged work plan, then execution by a crew split into defined tasks. That turns moving day from chaos into a series of clear steps. For the full picture of the service, see our movers in Jeddah overview.

The survey and what we ask

We ask for photos or a short video of each room, the floor, whether there is a lift and its size, the width of doors and corridors, and the building location and street. It helps to know whether there are very large items such as an Arabic majlis, a marble dining table or a large fridge.

Then we ask what you want exactly: moving only, or dismantling, packing and assembly; whether appliances need a technician; and whether the new home is the same size, smaller or larger.

Room-by-room inventory

We list the contents of each room with a note of condition, assign each room a letter or number and print it on wrappings and boxes. At the new home we stick the matching code on each door so the crew knows where every item goes from the first minute.

This simple system saves hours of asking and directing and gets the final layout closer to what you planned.

Send photos of your rooms on WhatsApp and we will size the trucks and crew.

The master bedroom

The master bedroom has the heaviest items: a large bed, big wardrobes, a dressing table, mirrors and side tables. We dismantle beds and wardrobes in order, keep screws and hinges in numbered bags and wrap mirrors in rigid layers.

We reassemble it first in the new apartment, because it is the room the family needs on the first night.

The other bedrooms

The other three rooms may be for children, guests or a study, each with its own needs: children beds need a safety check, sliding wardrobes need their doors lifted from the tracks, and a home office with equipment and cables needs photos before dismantling.

We assign a carpenter to each room so work proceeds in parallel rather than one room after another.

The majlis and living room

Arabic majlis seating and corner sofas are among the largest pieces. We measure building doors and lifts before moving, dismantle what comes apart, cover fabric with clean sheets and decide the path each piece will take out.

At the new apartment they come in after the floor is cleaned and protected and go straight to their place instead of being shifted several times.

The dining room

Marble and glass tables, chairs and buffets need edge protection and firm positioning in the truck. Marble tables travel on their edge with thick protection, and legs are removed where it is safe.

Glass and ceramic tableware is wrapped piece by piece and placed in divided boxes labelled with the room name.

The kitchen and appliances

The fridge, washing machine, oven and dishwasher must be emptied, dried and disconnected, and some need a technician to reinstall. The many kitchen items are wrapped in numbered boxes and dry food travels separately from cleaning products.

If fixed cabinets are moving, a carpenter has to take them apart and reinstall them, and the quote states whether that is included.

Maid room, storeroom and balcony

People often forget these places when making the inventory, and they appear on moving day with furniture, tools and boxes nobody counted. We include them from the start and suggest disposing of what you will not need before loading.

Balconies usually hold outdoor furniture, plants and cleaning tools, which need separate wrapping and cleaning before they go in the truck.

Load size and number of trucks

A four-bedroom apartment often needs a bigger truck than a small Dyna, or a Dyna with two or three trips, depending on the amount of furniture and size of pieces. We estimate from the inventory, not the room count; a four-bedroom home with light furniture may need only two trips.

We lay out the options: a larger truck in one trip or Dyna trucks over several trips, and show how each affects time and cost.

Floors, lifts and stairs

A high floor without a lift means more workers and more time, and a small lift means dismantling pieces. We ask about this in the first contact because it changes the whole schedule.

If the building lift must be booked we plan the timetable to fit, loading quickly inside the available window.

Dividing the crew

A big apartment involves one or more carpenters for dismantling and assembly, packers, loaders and a supervisor who coordinates rooms and keeps the inventory. A supervisor prevents loss and duplication and gives you one point of contact.

We tell you before the date how large the crew will be and who the supervisor is, so everything is clear on moving day.

The staged plan for moving day

We start packing and dismantling the least-used rooms, then the daily rooms, and finish with the kitchen and master bedroom. Loading then starts with heavy pieces, then medium, and light or fragile items on top.

At the new apartment we reverse the order: master bedroom and kitchen first, then the other rooms, so the home is liveable in the shortest time.

Protecting the building and neighbours

We lay protection in the lift and corridors and guard doors and walls, keep the noise down and avoid blocking neighbours. Some buildings require a deposit or fee for moving in, so we ask you to check before the date.

Respecting building rules protects your relationship with the landlord and neighbours and avoids unexpected fines.

Packing by type of item

Wooden furniture gets blankets and securing wrap, upholstery gets breathable covers, mirrors and glass get rigid layers, and appliances get foam and covers. Full packing can cost less than replacing one damaged item.

See furniture packing in Jeddah for the materials and levels.

What dismantling and assembly includes

Dismantling and assembly does not necessarily mean every piece in the apartment: we state in the quote which items we will take apart and rebuild. Some items cannot be dismantled, such as weak old furniture or pieces built as one unit.

We tell you before the date what cannot be taken apart and what will be moved as it is, so there are no surprises on the day.

Curtains, chandeliers and fixtures

A large apartment usually has many curtains, chandeliers and fixed lighting. We take them down in sequence, photograph the wiring and reinstall them after the heavy work. Anything that belongs to the property is not removed.

For more details read curtain and chandelier dismantling and fixing.

Temporary storage

Your old lease may not end on the day the new apartment is ready, so we can arrange temporary storage with an inventory on entry and exit. We tell you what to prepare so the pieces are not damaged in storage.

This eases date pressure and spares you from moving furniture twice without a plan.

What affects the price

Price depends on the inventory size, number of trucks or trips, floor and lift, distance, number of workers and carpenters, the amount of dismantling, packing and assembly, and the date. That is why we cannot quote a fixed number without details.

See apartment moving cost factors for more; we send a written quote that says what is and is not included.

The written agreement and signed inventory

The agreement covers scope, date, crew, what the price includes and responsibility for goods, and is tied to the signed inventory. On a large move this paper is your reference in any dispute.

Do not hesitate to ask for any clause to be explained, since clarity before the move is better than argument after it.

A preparation timeline for moving week

A week before: inventory, disposal of what you do not need and quotes. Three days before: book the lift and pack an essentials bag. The day before: empty the fridge and disconnect appliances. Moving day: loading, unloading and assembly.

The next day review the pieces with the supervisor, note remarks and have small fixes made.

Common mistakes with large apartments

Estimating the load by room count, forgetting to book the lift, not disposing of surplus before moving, not writing what is in boxes, and accepting the cheapest quote without reading what it covers.

Avoiding them begins with a careful inventory, a written quote, early booking and getting rid of what you will not use.

If you are moving between neighborhoods

You may move between districts far apart or next to each other, and the longer the distance, the more the load needs securing. See examples in moving between neighborhoods in Jeddah.

We ask for the pickup and drop-off addresses to estimate time and suggest the best slot.

Questions about moving a four-bedroom apartment

It depends on the inventory and the size of the large pieces, often a larger truck or a Dyna over several trips, which we confirm after reviewing photos.
