Moving from Al Naseem to Al Mohammadiyah, Jeddah

Relocating from Al Naseem to Al Mohammadiyah? This route links two different kinds of housing: flats in residential blocks in Al Naseem and villas or newer apartments in Al Mohammadiyah in north Jeddah. We plan for both ends, getting furniture out of a building that may have no large lift, and into a new home in an order that lets you sleep there the same night.

What makes this route different

Moving from Al Naseem to Al Mohammadiyah is not a move within one district; it crosses part of the city on main roads that get busy at certain hours. Timing becomes part of the plan, not an afterthought. A truck that leaves at peak time can spend longer on the road than it did loading.

The housing is different too. In Al Naseem most furniture comes out of flats in residential blocks, some without a lift or with a small one. In Al Mohammadiyah you are more likely to move into a villa or a newer apartment, where entrances may be wider but rooms are spread over two floors. Loading and unloading need separate plans, and we prepare both in advance.

Choosing the right departure time

We aim to leave outside the morning commute and the afternoon return where possible, and check live traffic before departure to pick the quickest roads at that moment. We do not commit to one fixed route, because the fastest way depends on the exact addresses and the traffic at that hour.

On weekdays we prefer to start loading early in Al Naseem and set off before the rush. At weekends roads are often lighter in the morning but busier in the evening near shopping centres. We agree the best slot with you based on your schedule and the handover time for your old flat.

Loading in Al Naseem: stairs, lifts and parking

First we confirm the floor, the lift and its size, and the width of the stairs at each turn. Large items such as three-seat sofas, mattresses and wardrobes are dismantled inside the flat when needed, while cartons and small appliances use the lift if available. Walls and lift are padded with blankets and board.

Parking on Al Naseem's side streets can be hard in the evening, so we arrive in the morning and take the nearest spot to the entrance. For more on flat moves in the district see apartment movers in Al Naseem.

WhatsApp your Al Naseem and Al Mohammadiyah addresses with furniture photos and we will suggest timing and a quote.

Loading by unloading priority

Because the drive is not short, the last things loaded are the first things you need: bed frames, mattresses, bedroom cartons and your essentials bag. Assembly starts as soon as we arrive, without waiting for the whole truck to be emptied.

Heavy items such as the fridge, washer and wardrobe panels sit strapped at the front of the box, sofas in the middle, light and fragile cartons on top. If two trips are needed, the first carries bedrooms and kitchen, the second the living areas and non-urgent boxes.

Unloading in Al Mohammadiyah: villa or flat

If your new home is a villa, we split the team across floors: one group carries bedroom furniture upstairs and assembles it, another sets up the living areas and kitchen downstairs. Internal stairs and marble or parquet floors are protected with board.

If it is a flat in a newer building, we ask about building rules in advance: whether furniture may use the lift, whether there are fixed moving hours, and whether the lift must be padded. Some compounds require a vehicle entry permit, which is best arranged the day before.

The day step by step

  1. Crew arrives in Al Naseem, protects entrance and lift, assigns tasks.
  2. Bedrooms and wardrobes dismantled; fragile items and appliances packed.
  3. Truck loaded in reverse order of unloading priority.
  4. Final sweep of the old flat so nothing is left behind.
  5. Departure to Al Mohammadiyah at a sensible time.
  6. Bedrooms unloaded and assembled first, then kitchen, then living areas.
  7. Walk-through with you and packing waste removed.

What drives the cost on this route

  • Furniture volume and number of trucks or trips.
  • Floors and lifts at both ends.
  • Dismantling, assembly and packing required.
  • Actual distance between the addresses and drive time.
  • Extras such as AC removal or temporary storage.

We send a written quote once we have the exact addresses and photos. See how distance affects moving cost in Jeddah.

Moving with family and children

When a whole family moves, the day has to work for children and older relatives too. We suggest young children spend the day with relatives or at the new home with an adult, rather than among movers, stairs and boxes in the old flat. It is safer for them and lets the crew work faster.

Make the children's room one of the first set up: bed, mattress, favourite toys and bedtime things. If an older family member needs special furniture such as a medical bed or wheelchair, tell us so it is moved carefully and set up first near a bathroom. See moving elderly parents' homes carefully.

If the new home is not ready

Sometimes the Al Naseem flat must be handed back days before the Al Mohammadiyah home is ready. We can put your furniture into temporary storage and deliver later, or move part directly and the rest once the house is ready. Packing is adjusted to survive storage.

Checklist before moving day

  • Tell the Al Naseem building watchman the date and ask to reserve the lift.
  • Make sure power and water are on in Al Mohammadiyah the day before.
  • If moving into a compound, get the truck entry permit.
  • Pack an overnight bag for two days and keep it in your car.
  • Empty and dry the fridge a day early and drain the washer.
  • Measure rooms at the new home to plan where large items go.

Appliances and AC units

Moving from a flat to a villa or a larger flat often changes how many AC units you need. You may bring split units from Al Naseem and need them refitted, or leave them and buy new. Either way we need to know early: removal needs a technician to recover the gas, and refitting needs pipework that may not exist yet in the new home.

Fridges and washers are prepared the day before and travel upright and strapped. After delivery, leave the fridge several hours before switching on. See AC removal and reinstallation costs.

Protecting the load on the road

A cross-town drive means speed bumps, roundabouts and stop-start traffic, all of which shift a load that is not secured. Each tier is strapped, blankets go between items and we avoid large gaps in the box.

Mirrors and glass tops ride on edge between fixed items, fragile cartons go on top, and in summer we avoid leaving a loaded truck parked in the sun at any stop.

Handing back the old flat

Once the Al Naseem flat is empty we walk every room with you, open built-in cupboards, store rooms and balconies, then clear tape and film from floors and corridors. This matters if you have a handover with the landlord the same day.

If you need the flat cleaned before handover, tell us so cleaning can start right after the furniture leaves. Photograph the empty flat too; it helps when recovering your deposit.
